The new album from virtuoso Jazz trumpeter Matt Shulman, titled 'So It Goes', has just been completed!
The album was recorded between New York and Los Angeles. Vocal recording and mixing were done at Jaggo Studios. It was then mastered at Capitol Mastering by Ron McMaster, known for a wide range of great music ranging from the Blue Note catalog to rock acts like The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters.
"Matt Shulman represents the cutting-edge in Jazz today," says Jaggo's Co-CEO, Christopher Martin. "He's really bridging the gap between generations -- between Jazz and Alternative Rock -- by fusing the use of electronics with the traditional Jazz trio sound. This is the sound of Jazz for the new millenium! Also amazing is his innovative use of multi-phonic playing... how many trumpet playeres do you know that can play multiple notes at once?"
The album is scheduled for release in early 2007. Samples of the tracks can be heard by first going to the Artists section, and then clicking on the Audio button below the brief bio of artist Matt Shulman. |
